As we gather each year, this dish reminds us of the importance of family, the comfort of shared meals, and the warmth of holiday celebrations. So, as the fall holidays approach, I hope you’ll consider adding this casserole to your own table and making it a part of your family’s traditions.

Ingredients:
1 to 2 heads of broccoli
15 oz jar of Cheese Whiz (or any processed cheese spread)
½ to 1 stick of butter
Salt and pepper to taste

Prepare the Broccoli: Steam or boil the broccoli florets until tender but still crisp. Drain and set aside.
Cook the Rice: Prepare 2 cups of rice according to package instructions. Fluff with a fork and set aside.
Cook the Onions: In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the chopped onions and sauté until translucent and slightly caramelized.
Make the Cheese Sauce: Stir in the Cheese Whiz, mixing constantly until fully melted and smooth.
Combine Ingredients: Add the broccoli florets and cooked rice to the cheese sauce, stirring gently until everything is evenly coated.
Season: Add salt and pepper to taste.
Bake: Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
Serve: Enjoy the casserole hot as a comforting and delicious dish.
