If you’ve ever dreamed of recreating that classic New York-style pizza crust—crisp on the outside, chewy on the inside—right in your own kitchen, you’re in luck! With your KitchenAid mixer, you can whip up a batch of dough that’s perfect for a slice of NYC's finest. Here’s a simple and effective recipe to achieve that delicious, iconic crust.

Ingredients:
2 cups warm water (110°F)
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
4 cups high-gluten flour
Instructions:
Activate Yeast: In the KitchenAid mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
Mix Dough: Add salt, olive oil, and flour to the yeast mixture. Attach the dough hook and mix on low speed until the dough forms a ball.
Knead: Increase to medium-low speed and knead for about 7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
Rise: Transfer the dough to a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, until doubled.
Shape and Bake: Punch down the dough, then roll out to desired thickness. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Bake your pizza for 10-15 minutes or until golden and crispy.
