Years ago, I made this sweet and spicy honey sauce for the first time to glaze grilled chicken wings for friends at a barbecue. The reaction was incredible—everyone loved the perfect blend of heat and sweetness. Since that day, this sauce has become a staple in my house. Whether it's drizzled over fried chicken, tossed with wings, or glazing grilled shrimp, it's a versatile condiment that never fails to impress.

Ingredients
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (add more if you can stand it)
1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 cup honey, divided
½ cup butter, melted
½ cup hot sauce
Instructions
Combine Ingredients: In a medium saucepan, combine the melted butter, hot sauce, and ½ cup of honey. Stir well.
Add Spices: Add the cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, salt, and ground black pepper. Mix until everything is well combined.
Heat: Place the saucepan on the stove over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the mixture is heated through, about 3-5 minutes. Be careful not to let it boil.
Add Remaining Honey: Stir in the remaining ½ cup of honey. Continue to heat the sauce, stirring constantly, until it is smooth and well combined. This should take another 2-3 minutes.
Taste and Adjust: Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if needed. Add more cayenne pepper if you like it spicier or more honey if you prefer it sweeter.
