Bring the taste of an Italian trattoria to your table with this easy yet elegant Chicken Marsala recipe. Tender chicken, savory mushrooms, and a rich Marsala wine sauce come together in a dish that's perfect for both weeknight dinners and special occasions.

Ingredients
1/4 cup all-purpose flour (for coating)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
4 medium skinless, boneless chicken breast halves (pounded to 1/4 inch thickness)
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup Marsala wine
1/4 cup cooking sherry
Instructions
1. Prepare Your Ingredients
Gather all ingredients. Mix flour, salt, pepper, and oregano in a shallow dish or bowl. Coat the chicken breasts evenly in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
2. Sear the Chicken
Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the chicken in the pan and cook until lightly browned, about 2–3 minutes per side.
3. Add the Flavor
Flip the chicken, then add mushrooms to the skillet. Pour in Marsala wine and sherry, ensuring the liquid coats the bottom of the pan.
4. Simmer to Perfection
Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for about 10 minutes, turning the chicken once, until it’s cooked through and the juices run clear.
5. Serve and Enjoy
Plate the chicken and spoon the rich, wine-infused sauce and mushrooms over the top. Serve hot with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes, pasta, or crusty bread.
